Bruises
Arnica – has
pain relieving properties. Add Arnica to salves and ointments. Make a compress
of dried arnica flowers. Steep the dried Arnica in hot water for ten minutes.
Strain and cool. Soak a face towel in the mixture and apply to the bruise for
about 30 minutes.
Comfrey – Comfrey
increases the healing of wounds. It also stops bleeding and is soothing. Make a
compress by steeping dry comfrey leaves in hot water for 10 minutes. Let it
cool down and put the leaves in a cloth on the bruise for up to a hour at a
time.
Fenugreek – Make a mushy poultice of crushed seed and hot milk for inflammation,
ulcers, swollen glands, sciatica and bruises. Buy/view Fenugreek
Plantain - Common plantain quickly staunches blood flow and encourages the repair
of damaged tissue. It may be used instead of comfrey in treating bruises and
